Stay Steady Online was created to support older adults who want to keep moving, improve balance, and feel more confident in everyday life. For many people, attending in-person classes can feel difficult — whether due to mobility concerns, confidence, transport, or simply preferring to exercise at home. Who is it for?
- You feel less steady than you used to
- You worry about falling, even if you haven’t fallen recently
- You want to stay active but need a gentle, supported approach
- You feel nervous about exercise or group settings
- You are returning to movement after a break
- You prefer calm guidance rather than fast-paced sessions
Simple, steady support
Some members who use a walking aid are able to take part. Exercises can be adapted, and support is encouraged throughout. If you are unsure whether this is appropriate for you, it is sensible to speak with your GP or physiotherapist before starting.
If movement feels uncertain
Many people who take part have experienced a fall in the past or feel anxious about their balance. Stay Steady Online focuses on supported movement and confidence-building over time. Sessions are designed to feel steady and manageable rather than challenging or rushed.
